Cut as a cape rather than a coat, so the sleeves fall wide from the shoulder to a deep batwing that hangs in a full drape when the arms are down. The neck stands high and closes with a single button at the throat. A narrow belt draws it in at the waist, which is what stops the volume overwhelming the shape and lets the lower half flare out below. It falls to the hip with a smooth matte surface that holds a clean line.
